Hall Scott LLP is pleased to announce that Richard M. Hall and Shawn M. Scott have each again achieved the distinction of being named an Indiana Super Lawyer by legal publisher Thomson Reuters in the fields of Estate Planning and Probate.

No more than five percent of the lawyers in the state are named by Thompson Reuters as Super Lawyers.  Thompson Reuters is a rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.  Annual selections are made using a rigorous multi-phased process that includes a state wide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area.

Hall Scott LLP is pleased to announce that Shawn Scott has been offered membership to the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). ACTEC is an organization of almost 2,400 trust and estate lawyers and law professors who have been elected by their peers in recognition of having made outstanding contributions to the practice of trust and estate law. ACTEC brings together top lawyers in the profession to maintain a high quality of trust and estate legal services through mutual education; to create and foster networking among those lawyers based on the highest order of trust and confidence; and to contribute to the improvement of the areas of law in which trust and estate lawyers practice.

The substantive areas of expertise and experience represented in the College include estate planning, probate and estate and trust administration, protective intervention and guardianship administration, transfer tax laws, income tax laws that affect individuals and trusts, elder law, charitable planning, employee benefit planning, asset protection, and fiduciary litigation.

Hall Scott LLP was pleased to attend the “Golf 4 Autism” fundraising event to support The Independence Academy on September 27^th.  Our foursome enjoyed a day of golf and Hall Scott LLP sponsored a hole at this charity golf event. Great day even if we did not win a prize!
